Electrical Products is a manufacturer’s representative agency, representing manufacturers covering the residential, commercial, and industrial markets and servicing the state of Oklahoma and West Texas.
Joe Suchy founded our company in 1979. Joe brought with him experience and insight that was cultivated as he grew in the electrical industry. Joe was educated at Drake University. Joe started at Graybar in Des Moines Iowa in 1965. Working his way up from warehouse to counter to inside sales and then landing an outside sales position at the Graybar location in Oklahoma City in 1968. He moved on in 1973 to a position with Carlon. As a regional manager Joe expanded his knowledge and contacts and in 1979 became a partner in Electra Sales. In 1987 Joe opened what has become a respected and thriving agency, Electrical Products of Oklahoma.
Steve Abbott was added to the team in 1982 as outside sales in Tulsa. He came to us from another agency where his focus was on sales. Steve is our Tulsa and Eastern Oklahoma Sales representative and has created a strong and respected presence with all levels of the electrical industry in Eastern Oklahoma.
Tony Larocco, now a principal, came on board in Oklahoma City in October of 1989. His history includes education in International Marketing at OSU in Stillwater, apprentice electrician and like Joe, distribution experience in warehousing, warehouse management, & inside sales. Between OSU and distribution he managed people and projects with a mission in Haiti for 3 ½ years. Including schools, orphanages, coffee, & rice production and working with USAID in food distribution.
Darlene Cox, who manages our customer service operations, came to us in 1999 from the electrical contractor business where she managed payroll and office functions. Having started with an education at Murray State in Business Administration, Darlene had added experience in grocery store management in various locations of Oklahoma and Texas.
Tony Kyle, now a principal, came on board in 2004 after working at Rexel for most of his career. Tony has an Electrical Engineering degree from Oklahoma State University. His time at Rexel includes Allen Bradley specialist, outside sales, branch manager, and area sales manager covering all of Oklahoma and the Texas panhandle. His valuable experience in working with all levels of the electrical industry has brought strong insight to the processes and direction of our company.
Cameron Karner, our newest team member, comes fresh from a position in customer service with Paycom and his degree in Business Administration from UCO in 2006. He was also a starter on the baseball team at UCO. Cameron is coming up on the completion of his 1st year having started in the fall of 2008 and has shown to be a quick learner with a focus on details. Cameron is finishing his studies at UCO this fall with a Masters in Adult Education & Corporate Training.
With our current team and direction we feel poised to continue our goal of servicing our industry with Professionalism and Integrity now and into the future.
